Belarus, Russia discuss joint efforts against climate change
MINSK, 28 May (BelTA) - Belarus is taking part in the 9th Nevsky International Environmental Congress running at the Taurus Palace in St. Petersburg, BelTA learned from the press service of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Ministry of Belarus. The congress focuses on new climate policy and closed-loop economy, water and forest management, ecotourism, Arctic problems, green finance and environmental security and many more topics, the press service noted.
Hundreds of delegates have been invited to participate in the event, including a delegation from Belarus headed by Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Minister Andrei Khudyk. Foreign guests include heads of international organizations, speakers of parliaments, well-known experts and activists of environmental movements. Official from Central African Republic discusses possibility of Russian business joining economic projects in his country
MOSCOW. April 19 (Interfax) - A high-ranking official from the presidential administration of the Central African Republic has discussed with Russian Foreign Ministry officials the possibility of Russian economic operators joining energy and mineral resource exploration projects in his country, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on its website.
Visiting Minister of State in charge of Development and Strategic Investment of the Central African Republic Pascal Bida Koyagbele met with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov in Moscow on Monday, the Foreign Ministry said.
