Islanders are together in electric dreams

Now the organisation which led the community buyout hopes that buying an electric off-road fleet for a transport sharing scheme will encourage people moving to the island not to bring their own vehicles. An electric quad bike and electric “utility task vehicle” – where two people can sit side-by-side – arrived on the island last week, and will be recharged using solar panels. A membership scheme is being established for use of the vehicles, which were funded by the Scottish Government, which residents can book for tasks such as transporting their shopping from the ferry and moving other heavy items.

Crusoe Hotel at Lower Largo in East Neuk of Fife sold

By Ian McConnell The Crusoe Hotel in the East Neuk of Fife has been sold from administration to a private investor for an undisclosed sum.  Property agent Christie & Co, announcing the sale of the hotel at Lower Largo on behalf of joint administrators Paul Dounis and Gareth Harris of RSM, said the investor which has purchased the hotel had sourced a new tenant, Graham Bucknall from TBC Pub Company, in a “quick turnaround”. The long-established hotel overlooks the small fishing harbour of Lower Largo and has 16 en suite letting rooms, some with sea views, a restaurant, meeting rooms and a lounge and public bar. The area enjoys a high level of visitors throughout the year, and is close to several championship-grade golf courses.

Edinburgh Citizen Ticket, Cameron link-up announced

EDINBURGH-based online ticketing and livestreaming platform Citizen Ticket has secured a partnership with leading Scottish production company, Cameron, to provide clients across the country with tech support to deliver livestream events. Cameron is one of three partners working with Citizen Ticket to successfully assist event organisers in the delivery of both livestream and hybrid events.
