It’s official. According to a new letter from Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, a vote to recall Rep. Liz Cheney from leadership will happen as soon as Wednesday. This follows several weeks of infighting whereby Cheney has sought to use outlets like The Washington Post to bolster her case. Now, House Republicans seem to be fed up, and many who voted to keep her in her position just a few months ago following her impeachment vote are now keen to move forward without Cheney in the lead. Elise Stefanik to replace Cheney, and on Monday Punchbowl News obtained the letter McCarthy sent out saying, “Having heard from so many of you in recent days, it’s clear that we need to make a change.”
