Like many entrepreneurs, bar owner Serena Dourka has been actively trying to find new and innovative ways to attract customers to her once very busy chill spot, Norma’s Pub on Waltham Park Road in Kingston. Besides building relationships with her clientele, the 31-year-old businesswoman is going the extra mile to make them feel sweet.
“I have been focusing on doing some food pairings, including selling roast fish with a Red Stripe beer. I started this food pairing idea, and my consumers love the combination,” said Dourka who has also added regular cake sales to her repertoire. During her search for more unique ideas, Dourka came up with the idea of sweetening the deal for her customers by including a bottle of Red Stripe Flavours with the purchase of a slice of cake.
