In recognition of World Congenital Heart Defects (CHD) Awareness week, HD Medical Inc. today announces it has screened over 50,000 children for CHDs using HD Steth. These screenings have been conducted at multiple locations in India, helping to save over 35 lives to date. HD Medical plans to expand the screenings to over 500,000 children worldwide. The children diagnosed with CHD were provided life-saving treatments and surgeries by the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospitals in India.
CHDs are the most common types of birth defects. One out of 100 babies are born with CHD worldwide and nearly 40,000 infants in the U.S. are born each year with CHDs. house.ai, which bills itself as “a collective of 20+ seasoned founders and unicorn operators launching industry disrupting companies.” Together, they launched Gay Burger as a virtual brand “virtual” meaning it doesn’t have any dedicated brick-and-mortar locations of its own, but its menu can be adopted and served by any established kitchen in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York City.
That menu includes cheekily named items like
Love Me Daddy (a “studly beef daddy patty” topped with American cheese, pickles, white onion, lettuce, and special house sauce “gayoli”),

Octopus Energy has launched an entech-led research organisation dubbed the Octopus Centre for Net Zero (OCNZ) to help create a tech-enabled green energy system.
The London-based research centre will bring together energy tech data, economic analysis and behavioural insights to create tools for policy makers and business leaders to accelerate the uptake of clean energy technologies, the company said.
A multi-disciplined team will be brought together at the centre, with specialities including data science, econometrics, behavioural science and climate policy, lead by the OCNZ’s new CEO Lucy Yu. She has 15 years of business leadership experience in building tech companies, as well as advising governments and international organisations on policy issues.
