Ajinomoto Bio-Pharma Services and Revance Therapeutics have announced a strategic commercial manufacturing agreement for the supply of DaxibotulinumtoxinA for Injection.
A novel botulinum toxin type A that could potentially compete with Botox, DaxibotulinumtoxinA for Injection (DAXI) is currently under Biologics License Application (BLA) review in the US.
Under this agreement, Aji Bio-Pharma will serve as a dual supply source and provide drug product manufacturing services for Revance at the company’s aseptic manufacturing facility in San Diego, California.
The deal will serve to bolster Revance s supply chain resiliency, said Brian Blagg, vice president, engineering & supply chain at that next-generation neuromodulator product developer.

Massive US Cyberattck Affects Various US Gov t Agencies and Companies: Intel, Cisco, Nvidia and VMWare Inlcuded

The cyberattack which happened a few days ago to the Treasury Department of the US, and as well as the American software developer for businesses SolarWinds, also affected at least another 24 companies in the US, which includes Intel, Cisco, Nvidia, and VMware.
The hack was allegedly connected to the Russian government hackers. The hackers have installed a malware in the Orion software which SolarWinds have been selling to various companies and agencies, in at least one hospital, a university, and several US government agencies as reported by the Wall Street Journal.

Octopus Energy has hit a $2 billion (£1.5 billion) valuation as it announces an expansion into Asia thanks to a partnership with Tokyo Gas.
The agreement will see the companies launch the Octopus Energy brand in Japan as a 30:70 joint venture. Tokyo Gas will provide working capital and growth funding, with the Octopus Energy Group set to take $247 million (£184 million) of additional investment.
TG Octopus Energy will provide 100% renewable electricity amongst other services to customers in Japan, utilising the tech haven of Tokyo as a launchpad for further expansion into the Asian market. Currently, Japanese renewables lag behind the UK by 50%, accounting for 18.9% of electricity in 2019 compared with 37.9% in the same year in the UK.
