Vizzy Variety Pack #2
Molson Coors will launch four new flavors for its Vizzy Hard Seltzer on March 1 in a second variety pack.
Vizzy Variety Pack #2 features four dual-fruit flavors, each with the hard seltzer s signature antioxidant vitamin C from acerola superfruit: papaya passionfruit, blackberry lemon, watermelon strawberry and raspberry tangerine.
It will join Variety Pack #1, which includes pineapple mango, black cherry lime, blueberry pomegranate and strawberry kiwi.
A 5% ABV can of Vizzy contains 100 calories and 1 gram of sugar.
NCA’s 2021 Confectionery Leadership Awards ceremony to take place online By Anthony Myers The National Confectioners Association (NCA) and its in-house magazine Candy & Snack TODAY, has announced the recipients of the 2021 Confectionery Leadership Awards.
Maureen Keenan, Category Manager – Seasonal Candy, CVS Pharmacy; and Peter Kempton Jr., Category Manager – Center Store, TravelCenters of America, will receive their awards, presented remotely this year, during NCA’s virtual State of the Industry Conference on March 9.

Fairtrade cocoa demand increases during pandemic as more consumers make ethical choices By Anthony Myers A boom in consumer demand for Fairtrade products in 2020, including cocoa, is reflecting the extent to which the coronavirus pandemic has sparked an increased global consciousness, changing the way many of us eat, drink and shop.
The Fairtrade organisation said its purchases increased by 15% in the last year and almost 30% of consumers pledged to buy more Fairtrade goods in the future, according to Ethical Consumer’s recent Ethical Markets Report produced in collaboration with Co-operative Group in the UK.
Even pets are going ethical: Ben & Jerry’s now offer pet food made from Fairtrade ingredients in the US, a first for Fairtrade.

Plant-based latte
Nestlé Japan has launched a range of Nescafé lattes made with plant-based ingredients, eying up rapidly growing interest in plant-based food in Japan.
The range includes RTD beverages for on-the-go or at home, soluble mixes that can be made by adding hot water, and capsules for the Nescafé Dolce Gusto system.
The drinks use either oat or almond milk as their base.
The launch in Japan follows earlier launches of Nestlé plant-based coffee mixes across a number of countries in Europe, Latin America and Oceania.
