CVS is now offering walk-in COVID-19 vaccine appointments at hundreds of Massachusetts locations, a spokesman said Wednesday.
âCVS Health announced today that it is now accepting walk-in COVID-19 appointments at CVS Pharmacy locations across the country, including 389 locations in MA, with no appointment necessary,â said company spokesman Matt Blanchette via email. âSame-day scheduling, including appointments as soon as one hour from time of scheduling, is also available at CVS.com.â
Blanchette said the companyâs vaccination drive remains in high gear from coast to coast.

VIRGINIA CVS Health has joined the COVID-19 vaccine providers in offering walk-in appointments in Virginia and other states.
The pharmacy chain announced Wednesday it is accepting walk-in appointments at nationwide locations, including 342 in Virginia. Same-day scheduling is also available online, with appointments offered as soon as one hour in advance. The vaccine scheduler is updated throughout the day to account for same-day bookings and cancellations. NEW YORK CVS Health will now accept walk-in COVID-19 appointments at its locations across the country, including 517 in New York.
The pharmacy announced Wednesday appointments will no longer be necessary. Same-day scheduling, including appointments as soon as one hour from time of scheduling, will now be available online.
As of Wednesday, CVS Health is able to vaccinate in more than 8,300 stores across 49 states, Puerto Rico and Washington, D.C., and has surpassed 17 million COVID-19 vaccine doses administered through its participation in the Pharmacy Partnership for Long-Term Care Program and Federal Retail Pharmacy Program, according to officials.
