My wife is in her 70s and holds a self-invested personal pension with broker Interactive Investor. She is a cautious investor, with the whole £370,000 pot held in a BlackRock international bond fund. We read recently that bonds were expected to fall in value so she decided to sell the fund.

Ralph & Russo collapsed with £53m of unsold stock, the administrators of the celebrity fashion label have revealed as they court new owners.
The assets offer “an immediate commercialisation opportunity” for a buyer, according to marketing documents issued by administrators to potential bidders ahead of a deadline next week.
Specialists at Hilco, who were drafted in to help the administrators to recover money for creditors, also highlighted its intellectual property, and franchise and licence agreements, which account for just under a quarter of its total revenues. The brand also has 3m followers on social media.

Disney has come under attack from MPs after it refused to answer questions about concerns that the production of a film in China may have risked the use of forced Uighur labour.
The business select committee said it was “deeply disappointed” the Hollywood studio had declined the invitation to give oral evidence to its inquiry and had not “engaged meaningfully” in writing.
