Vincent R. Sadler, 61, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2021. He was born in Chattanooga, on Jan. 14, 1960, to the late Alan Sadler and Jeanette Hall. He attended Tyner High School and worked at the Creative Discovery Museum. He had a hobby for biking. Vincent was preceded in death by his parents, Alan Sadler and Jeanette Hall, and brothers, Richard Scott and Lebron Sadler. Left to cherish his memories are his brothers, Reginald Sadler and Michael Sadler, sister, Alecia Benson, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members. The family wishes to give a special thanks to Duane Rousseau and Sherri Hinton at the Creative Discovery Museum, as well as, to special friends Charles and Darlene.

Dewayne ”Buddy” Smith, 78, of Cleveland, departed this life on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at his residence.
Born on Aug. 23, 1942 in Athens, he spent the majority of his life in Bradley County and attended Big Springs Baptist Church. Buddy was an Atlanta Braves fan, loved collecting coins, traveling, fishing and, above all, spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his mother, whom he adored and was very close with, Beulah Irene Cantrell Smith; daughter, Leann Hines; step-daughter, Angela Guffey; and granddaughter, Nikki Guffey. Left behind to cherish Buddy’s memory are his loving and devoted wife, Sue Haney Smith; children, Wayne Smith, Angie Wilson (Gary Pederson), Vicky Dale (Adam), Denise Graham (Johnny), Scott Stamey, Jennifer D’Elia(Sal), Kathie Bennett (Josh) and Tyler Sewell; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and several extended family and a host of friends.

Deed Carroll Dies From Injuries In Nov. 19 Shooting; Charge Upgraded To Murder Against Markious Sims Tuesday, December 22, 2020

Chattanooga Police Homicide Investigators were notified that Deed Carroll, the victim in the Nov. 19, shooting that occurred at 1900 Maple Hills Way, has succumbed to his injuries.
The notification was made by the Hamilton County Medical Examiner s Office.
The suspect, 24-year-old Markious Sims, is now charged with criminal homicide instead of attempted criminal homicide. Sims is already in custody at the Silverdale Detention Center. Police earlier said the victim was on life support with no brain function.
The victim s girlfriend told police that he was off his meds and believed she was sleeping with the neighbor s boyfriend.
