Body Of Missing Person John Gregory Found On His Property At East Lake Tuesday, July 13, 2021 Missing person John Gregory has been found deceased on his property at his home in East Lake. Authorities said there was no sign of foul play. Family members said they had last seen the 58-year-old Gregory on June 30. Police said, As part of the ongoing investigation into John Gregory s disappearance, CPD Missing Persons Investigators returned to Mr. Gregory s property on Monday. While conducting a search of the property, an adult male s body fitting Mr. Gregory s physical description was located. The Hamilton County Medical Examiner s Office was contacted and transported the body to their facility. On Tuesday, the medical examiner s office positively identified the deceased male as John Gregory. There were no obvious signs of foul play or trauma to Mr. Gregory. Cause of death is to be determined pending results from the Hamilton County Medical Examiner s Office.

Man Dies In Boating Incident On Chickamauga Lake Saturday, May 1, 2021 A 62-year-old Sale Creek man kayaking alone was spotted by a family member floating unconscious in over 10 feet of water on Chickamauga Lake. It was near the Patterson Road access area of Sale Creek. TWRA officers, Sale Creek Fire Department and Hamilton County Sheriff s Office responded to the call around 3 p.m. Saturday. Water temperature in this area is around 68 degrees Fahrenheit. The man was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to the Hamilton County Medical Examiner’s Office. The incident remains under investigation.  The name will be released when next of kin are notified.

They said officers received a call around 3 p.m. about a man in the water. The Sale Creek Fire Department and Hamilton County Sheriff s Office responded to the call, officials said. They said a 62-year-old man from Sale Creek was kayaking alone and was seen by a family member unconscious and floating in over 10 feet of water, according to a release from officials.
