Throughout the summer of 2020, Pittsburgh’s public pools were shut down due to COVID-19 restrictions. Now, with plans for gradual reopenings on the horizon, Pittsburgh’s Citiparks Aquatic Facility locations are seeking lifeguards for the upcoming warmer weather.
The swim season is expected to run from June through September. Pay for lifeguards range from $11 to $15 per hour based on experience.
Citiparks also is offering Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR, AED, and First-Aid training courses to any individuals who love swimming or who are just looking for a way to help out in the community. During training, potential employees will learn procedures required by the City of Pittsburgh and the Allegheny County Health Department in order to ensure the safety of swimmers.
