WDAY photo FARGO A dumpster fire that damaged the Fryn Pan restaurant at 300 Main Ave. in Fargo early Monday morning, June 14, may have been intentionally set, according to a statement released by Fargo Fire Marshal Ryan Erickson. The dumpster was located near the building and the fire damaged both the dumpster and a portion of the building, according to Erickson, who said the damage is estimated at $5,000. Erickson said there are indications the fire was intentionally set, but no further details were available Monday morning.

Fargo fire crews extinguish suspicious midnight fire at abandoned house

Firefighters were first called to 3680 River Drive S. shortly at 12:11 a.m. for a brush fire. However, once firefighters arrived to the address they determined the fire was contained to the abandoned house. The home was part of flood buyouts and Red River SWAT had been using it for training exercises. Both gas and electricity had previously been turned off to the home. An arson K-9 from the West Fargo Fire Department was brought in to investigate due to the suspicious nature of the fire, according to Mangin. Fargo police officers responding to the call also spoke with at least one person who was in a nearby wooded area, but no arrests were made.

Fargo police call investigation into missing woman active

Jessica Houser FARGO (KFGO) – Police say they are actively investigating the case of 30-year-old Jessica Houser, who was reported missing last Sunday night and last seen Thursday. Houser is white, 4′ 11″ with a thin build, brown eyes and brown hair. Family members say she has a drug addiction and was living in Lisbon, North Dakota. Acting Police Capt. Chris Helmick says there are no indications that Houser has been the victim of a crime. Police are also looking for a man that she may be with, described as a person of interest. Its believed Houser was in Fargo when she was last heard from.
