BEIJING, June 10 (Xinhua) Disney s crime comedy film Cruella beat F9: The Fast Saga to grab the top spot at the Chinese mainland box office Wednesday, according to the China Movie Data Information Network. Directed by Craig Gillespie, Cruella follows a young grifter named Estella, as she explores the path that will lead her to become a notorious up-and-coming fashion designer known as Cruella de Vil. The film pocketed in around 7.2 million yuan (1.1 million U.S. dollars) on Wednesday, the fourth day of its screening. F9: The Fast Saga, the latest installment in the Fast and Furious action franchise, came in second, finishing the day with 7.08 million yuan in revenue.

The latest installment in the Fast and Furious action franchise raked in 7.47 million yuan (about 1.17 million U.S. dollars) on Tuesday, the 19th day of its screening, with its cumulative box office exceeding 1.32 billion yuan.
Disney s live-action feature film Cruella took second place, ending the day with 7.11 million yuan.
Sci-fi horror film A Quiet Place Part II ranked third on the daily chart, grossing 5.21 million yuan on Tuesday. Enditem

Sci-fi horror film A Quiet Place Part II ranked second on the daily chart, generating about 8.1 million yuan on Thursday.
