GWADAR, Mar. 3 (Gwadar Pro) - Chairman of China Overseas Port Holding Company, Mr.Zhang Baozhong said that Gwadar Port and China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) , will provide employment opportunities to thousands of people from different countries, especially in the transport sector.
Speaking to a group of Pakistani journalists on Tuesday afternoon, Zhang Baozhong said that Gwadar Port and CPEC projects had the capacity to benefit not only Pakistan and China but also other regional countries.
He said trade with Afghanistan had already started via Gwadar Port, and so far, thousands of metric tonnes of fertilizer had been sent to Afghanistan.
Other CPEC projects, including International Airport Gwadar, Pak-China Friendship Hospital, Pak-China Skill Development Institute, 300 MW Coal Power Plant, and Desalination Plant, would be completed with China’s financial assistance.

Chinese Ambassador Nong Rong and PM’s Special Assistant Dr Sania Nishtar discussed the poverty alleviation plan during a meeting.
Officials of both countries reviewed a draft Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The MOU is being prepared by the Ministry of Commerce of China and Pakistan s the Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Division.

The discussion took place during a meeting between the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong and PM’s Special Assistant Dr Sania Nishtar. The Secretary of PASSD Muhammad Ali Shahzada was also present during the event.
