Expenses were categorized as personal protective equipment, public health expenses, legal guidance fees, remote learning, testing supplies, audit expenses incurred by the COVID-19 Relief Fund program, substitute teacher pay, and UV-C lights for HVAC systems in public buildings.

NCMC Upward Bound students bring holiday cheer to Sunnyview 93 Shares North Central Missouri College Upward Bound students recently participated in a community service project at their virtual December Extreme Saturday event. During this event, the students made holiday wreaths for the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton, MO. Upward Bound high school students from Trenton, Hamilton, Jamesport, Galt, Chillicothe, and Gallatin participated. “With not being able to have December Extreme Saturday in person, we wanted to do something to help the community in some way during the holidays, so we came up with making door decorations for Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton,” said Carmen Austin, Upward Bound Program Coordinator. “We wanted to come up with something different and fun to get the students more engaged while being virtual. The students enjoyed the activity because it was crafty and different from what we usually do.”

Living nativity scene planned at Sunnyview Nursing Home

Living nativity scene planned at Sunnyview Nursing Home Plans have been announced for a living nativity presentation in Trenton. Several community members are working together to present the live nativity, with animals, on Sunday, December 20 th. The live nativity presentation is scheduled for 4 o’clock on the lawn of the Sunnyview Nursing home. The event will first be limited to residents of the Sunnyview Nursing Home and Apartments to view. Then at 4:30 Sunday, until about 6 o’clock, the public will be allowed to drive through the Sunnyview parking lot to view the living nativity. There’s no charge. According to one of the organizers, Cindy Jennings, there’s to be a reading of the Christmas Story and the singing of Silent Night done by Clair Woodard. The Pauley sisters are to be there playing a flute and clarinet.
