Man shot during altercation According to an incident report filed by Hinesville Police Officer, Jess Lamberth, a Hinesville man identified as Emmanuel Butler was shot several times Dec. 26, during a physical altercation in the 800 block of E.G. Miles Parkway around 2 a.m.  According to the incident report Officer Lamberth interviewed Butler’s ex-girlfriend at Liberty Regional Medical Center.  She told the officer she was at Frozen Paradise, located at 818 EG Miles Parkway, when she heard Butler involved in a verbal argument with two individuals on the backside of the business near Elaine Street.

Car Plows Into Hinesville Gas Station According to Hinesville Police Traffic Accident Investigator, Aaron Brandt, a woman was transported to Liberty Regional Medical Center after her 15 year old daughter drove into the Exxon Handyland gas station on 2570 Highway 196 in Hinesville. The teen was driving on a learner s permit and was pulling into the parking lot from Highway 196 when she hit the gas pedal thinking she was hitting the brakes.   The impact caused portions of the wall to buckle and caused interior damage to the building. Several cases or beer flew off the shelves inside a refrigeration unit.

Pedestrian killed crossing road Liberty County Coroner, Reginald Pierce identified Ayesha Davis, 17, a student at Bradwell Institute, was the pedestrian that was struck and killed on Dec. 22 According to Hinesville Police Department Traffic Accident Investigator, Cpl. Michael Ramirez, Davis was struck by a black Hyundai driven by a 56 year old man while attempting to cross the roadway near McDowell St. shortly before 6 p.m. Davis was transported by ambulance to Liberty Regional Medical Center in Hinesville where according to Hinesville Police Chief, Bill Kirkendall she was later pronounced deceased.

Kirkendall, Logan and Lovette retire Liberty County EMA Director Larry Logan accepts a retirement gift from Robert Dodd who will replace him as Director in January. Several community leaders announced their retirements last week. During the Dec. 17 City of Hinesville Council meeting, Hinesville Police Chief Bill Kirkendall announced it would be his last meeting as Chief of Police. The same day at the County Commission meeting Liberty Emergency Management Agency Director Larry Logan’s retirement was announced. On Dec. 18, Donald Lovette was given a retirement celebration streamed on Facebook Live announcing his retirement from Liberty Regional Medical Center.

17-year-old Hinesville student killed in car accident Lewis Levine A Hinesville woman was struck and killed by a vehicle on E.G. Miles Parkway while attempting to cross the road, according to Hinesville Police Department Traffic Accident Investigator Cpl. Michael Ramirez. The woman has been identified as Ayesha Davis who was a student at the Bradwell Institute in Hinesville, according to Liberty County Coroner Reginald Peirce. According to Ramirez, Davis was struck by a black Hyundai driven by a 56-year-old man while attempting to cross the roadway shortly before 6 p.m. Davis was transported by ambulance to Liberty Regional Medical Center in Hinesville and was pronounced deceased, according to HPD Chief Bill Kirkendall.
