Lanesboro receives grant for new sewage treatment plant

Lanesboro receives grant for new sewage treatment plant ST. PAUL, Mn. (WXOW)- The Minnesota Public Facilities Authority has approved a more than $9 million grant for the city of Lanesboro to receive a new wastewater treatment plant. Lanesboro was one of 12 communities to receive grant funding, which awarded $44 million statewide for infrastructure projects. Sen. Jeremy Miller (R-Winona) made the grant announcement. Providing funding for water and sewer infrastructure projects continues to be a priority of mine and this grant is terrific news for the city of Lanesboro. Local leaders have been working hard to address this important need in the community and I couldn’t be happier for Mayor Resseman, City Administrator Michele Peterson, members of the city council, city staff, and all Lanesboro residents.”
