After one year of attempting to pursue this goal, the Minister at the Joint International Energy Forum and International Gas Union (IEF-IGU) Ministerial Gas Forum in Malaysia, declared the period of 2021 to 2030 as the Decade of Gas. Petrol scarcity persists as DPR threatens to sanction marketers On By Obas Esiedesa, ABUJA Petrol scarcity continued for the fourth day running in the nation’s capital, Abuja, with the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) warning marketers against hoarding the product in their outlets. While queues at petrol stations in the city centre remained long with motorists spending hours before buying, stations at suburbs had petrol with little or no queue. Prices were however higher outside the city centre with most selling at N170 per litre. Stations in the city sold at N167 per litre. Earlier, the DPR in a statement issued by Mr Paul Osu, Head Public Affairs, warned marketers to desist from hoarding the product.

Petrol scarcity: IPMAN commends NNPC for sending 160 tankers to Kano

Advertisement Bashir Danmallam, chairman, Kano chapter of IPMAN, made the announcement on Tuesday while inaugurating an ad-hoc committee set up to ensure prompt distribution of the commodity. Commending the corporation for its prompt response to reports of fuel scarcity in the country,  he said IPMAN would collaborate with the leadership of Association of Distributors and Transporters of Petroleum Products (ADTOP), to supply fuel to its members across the country. “I am happy to announce that the NNPC has today (Tuesday) allocated no fewer than 160 trucks to Kano as part of measures to check the scarcity. This singular effort is worthy of commendation,” he said. 

Suspected herdsmen militias invade Southern Kaduna community, kill 7, injure many

Daily Post Nigeria Published About seven (7) persons have been allegedly killed by suspected herdsmen militias at Kakwa in Atyap Chiefdom in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State. A reliable source from the area told DAILY POST that about 13 houses have been completely razed down by the suspected militia. The source added, “The suspected Fulani militias came to the village on Sunday night around 9 pm, fully armed and invaded the area leading to the massive killings and destruction of property in the village.” He explained, “As l’m talking to you this morning, there is no single security personnel that has visited the area to guarantee the safety of the people and to ensure normalcy in the area.”
