Kodak Black Pleads Guilty to First-Degree Assault and Battery in Sexual Misconduct Case

Kodak Black, who was in court Wednesday on a sexual misconduct charge stemming from accusations he assaulted a high school student in 2016, has pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of first-degree assault and battery in a plea deal, as CBS affiliate WBTW reports.
The victim agreed to all of the conditions of the plea deal, 12th Circuit Solicitor Ed Clements told WBTW. The plea deal stipulated that the rapper take full accountability for the incident and publicly apologize, which he submitted to while in court on Wednesday. He must also undergo counseling. Kodak Black, whose legal name is Bill Kapri, was sentenced to 10 years suspended to 18 months probation under the conditions of the plea deal.

FLORENCE COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) - The rapper known as Kodak Black entered a guilty plea Wednesday afternoon in a Florence County case.
The rapper, whose real name is Bill Kapri, was arrested in 2016 and charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct following a concert in Florence County.
As part of the negotiated plea, Black pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of first-degree assault and battery. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison, which was suspended to 18 months probation, along with counseling and an apology.

American rapper, Kodak Black has pleaded guilty in a legal case stemming from his assault on a high school student in 2016.
Kodak had been charged with allegedly sexually assaulting a teenage girl in February 2016 at a hotel. According to prosecutors, he pushed the girl into a wall and onto a bed before assaulting her, allegedly biting her breast and neck.
However, Kodak who was in court Wednesday, April 28, pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of first-degree assault and battery in a plea deal.
The rapper’s attorneys, Bradford Cohen and Beattie Ashmore told TMZ that their client who was originally indicted on a felony charge of first-degree criminal sexual conduct copped a plea to a lesser charge to put the case behind him.
