Artificial Food Dyes Are Linked To ADHD In Children

By Jensen Rader, iHeartMedia SPAIN-HEALTH-PANDEMIC-EDUCATION Children who consume synthetic food dyes are more susceptible to ADHD - Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder - and other neurobehavioral issues. California s Environmental Protection Agency Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment concluded the chemical additives found in food dyes can cause adverse affects on kids. The agency noted the rate of ADHD in American children has nearly doubled in the last twenty years, from six-point-one percent, to ten-point-two percent. The California Senate has introduced a bill that would require food manufacturers to include a warning label on foods with coloring, letting consumers know that artificial food dyes can affect children with ADHD.
