Paramount Home EntertainmentThe comedy Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy is turning 20, and that's kind of a big deal. To celebrate, Paramount Home Entertainment is bringing the hit comedy to 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc for the first time.It makes its format debut on July 2, 2024.Written by director Adam McKay and Will Ferrell, the classic had Ferrell in the title role, a newsman who's a big fish in the small pond of local journalism in 1970s San Diego, California.Ferrell is joined by a deep bench of comedy talent: Paul Rudd, Steve Carell and David Koechner play the rest of his Channel 4 news team, which is upended when Christina Applegate's Veronica Corningstone is installed as Burgundy's co-anchor.Also appearing in the film are the late Fred Willard, Vince Vaughn, Ben Stiller, Jack Black, Luke Wilson and Tim Robbins, among others.The new release is loaded with two hours' worth of extras, including auditions, deleted scenes, bloopers and Wake Up, Ron Burgundy, a 92-minute movie featuring outtakes and storylines that had been left on the editing room floor. Charlie Puth has seemingly responded to being name-checked on the title track of Taylor Swift's The Tortured Poets Department. In the song, Taylor sings that she and a former lover "declared Charlie Puth should be a bigger artist." On Sunday, Charlie reposted a photo that Taylor had posted in celebration of the album's success. In the picture, which is printed on a disc, Taylor sits inside a recording booth. "The Tortured Poets Department" is written atop the disc in black marker.Speaking of Taylor, her ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn is saying so long. Over a year after the couple broke up, Joe seems to have moved on. “He’s dating and happy,” a source told People. “He’s a great guy and not into drama in any way.” While he has moved on from his longtime relationship with Taylor, he doesn't seem to hold any ill will toward her. Joe “certainly doesn’t talk poorly about her. ... He was in love with her, and it just didn’t work out," the source said.Lance Bass sang one of *NSYNC's biggest hits at a wedding held in Cairo, Egypt, Friday. At the wedding of Bilt Rewards CEO Ankara Jain and former WWE wrestler Erika Hammond, Lance took to the stage and gave an impromptu performance of "Bye, Bye, Bye." The marriage ceremony is considered to be the first wedding celebration held in modern times at the base of the Great Pyramids of Egypt in front of the Sphinx.American Idol will honor the late Mandisa on the Monday episode with a special tribute featuring past contestants Colton Dixon, Danny Gokey and Melinda Doolittle, among others. DISRUPTOR/Columbia RecordsThe Chainsmokers have announced the release of their first EP since 2019.No Hard Feelings, featuring six tracks, will arrive May 10. Included are the duo's two previously released 2024 singles, "Addicted" and "Friday," plus four brand new songs: "No Shade at Pitti," "Bad Advice," "Tennis Court" and "Green Lights."The news of the EP comes following The Chainsmokers' appearance at the Stagecoach Festival on April 27. During their set at Diplo's Honky Tonk, they played remixes of country songs, like Taylor Swift's "Mean," as well as EDM tracks and their own hits, including "Closer" and "Something Just Like This." They were also surprised onstage by Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter collaborator Shaboozey, who sang along to his track "A Bar Song (Tipsy)."The last EP from the duo was World War Joy back in 2019. That money will buy over 1,500 metric tons of wheat flour — enough for more than 18 million loaves of bread, which can feed 157,000 people for a month.The Weeknd donated $2.5 million in December 2023 to purchase enough emergency meals to feed more than 173,000 people for two weeks. “With famine looming in Gaza, Abel's generous support will provide vital relief for thousands of Palestinian families who battle the grip of hunger every day," said Corinne Fleischer, WFP’s director for the Middle East, North Africa and Eastern Europe Region.Copyright © 2024, ABC Audio. NetflixProducer Greg Berlanti, of Arrow-verse fame and whose new show Dead Boy Detectives just debuted on Netflix, is in business with the streamer for Scooby-Doo! The Live-Action Series, Deadline is reporting. Officially, Netflix is still mum at this time.According to the trade, however, the show will be written by Josh Appelbaum and Scott Rosenberg, who brought another animated property to real life for Netflix with Cowboy Bebop.Berlanti's production company also shepherded You and the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina shows to the streamer.The titular dog, his pal Shaggy, and the rest of the Mystery Inc. gang were seen in live-action on the big screen in 2002's hit Scooby-Doo and 2004's Scooby-Doo: Monsters Unleashed, both written by eventual Guardians of the Galaxy writer-director James Gunn.The Scooby gang was also seen in the flesh in a pair of TV movies: Scooby-Doo! Now it's accomplished that -- and racked up the highest sales week in nine years.The album takes the top spot on the chart with 2.61 million equivalent album units earned. That's the largest amount of equivalent album units since 2015, when Adele blasted in with 3.482 million units of her album 25.Of those 2.61 million units, 1.914 million copies came from traditional album sales, meaning digital downloads, CDs, vinyl and cassettes, as opposed to streaming. That gives Tortured Poets the third-largest sales week in the modern era, which Billboard dates to 1991, the beginning of electronic sales tracking. The only two albums that have sold more in a single week are Adele's 25, with 3.378 million, and *NSYNC's No Strings Attached, with 2.416 million.What's more, Taylor now ties Jay-Z for the solo artist with the most #1 albums on the Billboard 200 chart: Both have 14. Only The Beatles have more, with 19. Taylor responded to the massive numbers by writing on Instagram, "My mind is blown. I’m completely floored by the love you’ve shown this album. 2.6 million ARE YOU ACTUALLY SERIOUS?? Thank you for listening, streaming, and welcoming Tortured Poets into your life. Feeling completely overwhelmed. I was already so fired up to get back to the tour but you doing THIS?? May 9th can’t come soon enough."And speaking of the tour, on April 27, she and her boyfriend Travis Kelce attended Patrick Mahomes' Golf Classic charity gala, and while there, Travis announced that his "significant other" had decided to donate four tickets to the Eras Tour to be auctioned off. Discovery, the doc will also air in the States at some point, Variety reports.In 2017, the Oscar- and Emmy-winning House of Cards star's career was sidelined by sexual assault allegations. He was found not guilty in July 2023 in a London court of a series of sexual assaults against several accusers.The trade says the documentary was in the works before Spacey's acquittal and the film's producers acknowledge it.According to a logline published by the trade, "Spacey Unmasked is a forensic look at a man who was once one of the most admired and respected actors in the world. Featuring never-seen-before interviews and archive, the series examines his life from childhood to early success on Broadway and subsequent meteoric rise to stardom."Producers explain, "This two-part series will investigate Spacey's conduct and talks to multiple men unconnected to that case," teasing that almost all those men have never spoken to media before.In response to the trailer news, a rep for Spacey sent Variety a cheeky statement from the actor, who reportedly said, "I'm honored to be starring in my first film with Warner Brothers in many years. However, as ghosts, they're tasked with solving paranormal mysteries.One of their allies in their quests is Tragic Mick, sort of the Q to the specter sleuths' James Bond.The actor who plays him, Michael Beach, says there's more to the eccentric character, however."He's a man who used to be a walrus, but because of some mystical thing — and it will come up in the show —he has been a human for 200 years," Beach says. "And he spent that time, all of that time trying to find potions and spells ... to turn him back into a walrus, because he misses living in the sea."Beach explains, "He's developed this shop where people can come and get potions and spells to help themselves out of whatever. So, the two main characters, the dead boys, they often come to him because they are trying to help other dead people move on to whatever the next realm is that they're going." The actor adds with a laugh, "You know, I spent some time on YouTube looking up ... video of these huge, hulking walruses hanging out. And, you know, how they sounded, how they moved and tried to incorporate that into who Tragic Mick was."He adds, "That's part of the joy about being an actor, right?
