Emergency services, including specialist critical care paramedics, were called to the scene on Ocean Drive in Pacific Paradise, a suburb of Maroochydore, about 7am on Sunday. Police said the couple, aged in their 60s, were rushed to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in critical conditions, but the man later died.
