Two young men walk after sickening Gympie CBD bashing

Kieran Peter Brough, 22, and Bradey Andrew Killian, 23, both pleaded guilty to one charge each of assault occasioning bodily harm and affray in the Gympie Magistrates Court late last week after the vicious attack outside the Queenslander Hotel on 13 December 2019. The court heard Brough and Killian - along with co-offenders Jack James Daniel Fresen, Joshua Beau Searle and Harley Hudson Price - all played a role in bashing Timothy William Ogilvie after a fight broke out between two groups on that night. Kieran Peter Brough, 22, was sentenced to 12 months jail with immediate parole in a Gympie court last week for his involvement in a brutal Mary St bashing that left a man in a coma in December 2019.

Man injured in car and motorbike crash on busy Coast road

Premium Content Subscriber only A man has been rushed to hospital following a car and motorcycle accident at Alexandra Headland on Wednesday afternoon. The man was treated by paramedics and taken to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition. A Queensland Ambulance media spokeswoman said the crash happened at the busy Boolarong Cres and Alexandra Pde intersection at 4.56pm. Proud moment as Coast mum becomes an Aussie

Kara Wills, her husband Todd Grace and their daughters Phoebe and Khia moved from New Zealand to Australia in 2008 having previously spent three months of each year living on the Coast since 2004. Mrs Will s children gained citizenship by descent through Mr Grace five years ago, but law changes and COVID-19 dramatically delayed her permanent residency. Her citizenship ceremony took place on Australia Day. She was among 68 Sunshine Coast residents from 23 countries who received their citizenship.
