The Kerala High Court on Wednesday directed the police not to arrest Bollywood actor Sunny Leone, her husband Daniel Weber and chief executive officer of their production house Sunil Rajani in a cheating case registered against her for failing to turn up at an event.
Justice Ashok Menon, while considering the anticipatory bail petition of the actor and others, ordered that they should not be arrested till notice of their appearance under Section 41A of the Code of Criminal Procedure is issued to them.

A few days ago, actor Sunny Leone found herself in legal trouble after an FIR was registered at the Crime Branch Police Station in Kerala s Ernakulam by a Kochi-based event manager.
As per reports, the complainant alleged that Sunny Leone received Rs 29 lakh on 12 different occasions since 2016 in exchange for her commitment to attend various inaugural events. On February 3, 2021, Sunny Leone, was questioned by the Kochi crime branch officials at Thiruvananthapuram.
Reports claim that she realised that an FIR had been registered against them under various sections of IPC including 406 (criminal breach of trust) and 420 (cheating).

Bollywood actor Sunny Leone was questioned by the Kerala police recently over a complaint filed by an event manager in Kochi in an alleged cheating case. The interrogation was held at a private resort in the state capital Thiruvananthapuram.
The complainant, R Shiyas who conducts events in and around Kochi had filed a complaint with the Kerala DGP that Sunny Leone had taken Rs. 29 lakh from him promising to attend various inaugural events in the state but did no fulfil her side of the bargain.
The complainant revealed that Leone s manager had taken the money in several installments from 2016 with the promise of attending five functions. However, when it did not happen, the event manager filed a complaint with the police.
