NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - An EF0 tornado ripped through Uptown, Carrolton, and Algiers in the early morning hours of May 12, according to the National Weather Service.
Doorbell camera submitted to FOX 8 captured the storm passing over Algiers.
The howling winds whip rain in every direction and the intensity picks up towards the end of the 90-second clip.

Pedestrian killed walking across Chef Menteur Highway overnight

NEW ORLEANS The New Orleans Police Department is investigating an overnight traffic fatality that claimed the life of a pedestrian in the Plum Orchard neighborhood.
According to police, the accident happened Saturday around 1:20 a.m. in the 7900 block of Chef Menteur Highway.
In a release from the NOPD, a man was crossing the eastbound lanes of Chef Menteur Highway when a driver of a Mazda CX9 hit him.
The man died on the scene, said NOPD.

NEW ORLEANS Authorities say two men are dead and one other was wounded in separate early morning shootings in New Orleans on Thursday.
According to the New Orleans Police Department, the first shooting was reported around 2 a.m. near the intersection of Cindy Place and Wendy Lane in New Orleans East. Officers arriving at the scene found a man who had been shot. He would later be declared dead.

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - New Orleans Police are investigating a double shooting on I-10 that has left a teenage girl and an infant boy injured Monday night.
NOPD says the shooting occurred on I-10 West near the Franklin Avenue and Louisa St. exit.
A teenage girl and an infant boy arrived at a local hospital by private conveyance with gunshot wounds. Their conditions are currently unknown.
