2021 NHL Draft: Vegas selects Jakub Brabenec and Jakub Demek in fourth round
The Knights trade up and draft two more centers with picks No. 102 and 128.

The Vegas Golden Knights used their third and fourth picks of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft to draft centers Jakub Brabenec and Jakub Demek in the fourth round with picks No. 102 and 128, respectively.

Originally slated to draft 114th, the Knights executed their second trade of the day, though this time the trade allowed them to move up in the draft. Specifically, Vegas moved picks No. 114 and 155 to Detroit in order to climb 12 spots in the fourth round to pick No. 102, which they used to draft Brabenec, a center from the Czech Republic.

The final result might not have been what Martin Rysavy and the Czech Republic wanted at the World Under-18 Hockey Championship, but the news for the bigger picture was still as positive as could be.
The Moose Jaw Warriors prospect scored the lone goal of regulation for his squad against the United States, but the Czechs would go on to drop a 2-1 shootout decision in Frisco, Texas.
Rysavy’s goal came with 4:03 remaining in the first period, taking a feed from Petr Moravec from behind the net and ripping a shot from the top of the crease high glove side on U.S. goaltender Kaiden Mbereko.

December 11, 2020 – Seattle Thunderbirds defenseman Simon Kubicek has been named to the 28-player roster for the Czech Republic for the 2021 World Junior Championship.
The 2021 World Junior Championship will take place in Red Deer and Edmonton, Alberta, from December 25, 2020, to January 5, 2021.
In his second season with the T-Birds last year Kubicek had seven goals and 20 assists for 27 points in 52 games. Kubicek played for the Czech Republic at the 2020 World Junior Championship. He had a goal and two assists in five games at the tournament.
In his first year with Seattle in the 2018-19 season Kubicek appeared in 61 games with nine goals and 19 assists for 28 points.
