She added reimbursement from the state for hazard pay has nearly covered all expenses but not entirely. There were two grant periods when they did not get the amount requested. Duff said the shortfall of just under $1,900 was fairly manageable.
Commissioners also brought forward a request to update the C.O.A. Background Check policy to meet new grant requirements. Duff says state and federal grants for senior services now require employees and volunteers to be checked against the Sex Offender Registries at the state and national level.
Commissioners are scheduled to take formal action on the requests Tuesday afternoon.
