The two chambers of the Michigan Legislature have spent more than $690,000 on confidential agreements associated with former employees in the last decade, according to information provided to the Free Press on Tuesday.  A few of these agreements are tied to employment and legal disputes. But additional details on who exactly received the payments, or why they were issued, could not be discussed because of confidentiality clauses, according to letters from legislative business offices.
