The Chemung County Sheriff’s Office announced multiple arrests as a result of a fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred Friday on County Route 60 in the Town of Chemung.
According to a news release, 38-year old Brandon E. Lane was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene following the collision. Lane was transported to the Robert Packer Hospital by Greater Valley Ambulance where he was pronounced dead.
During the investigation, Sheriff’s deputies received information that led investigators to an address on River Road in the Town of Chemung. A 20-year old man, identified as Logan J. Bowman, was taken into custody. The Sheriff s Office wrote in the news release that Bowman had been operating a 2007 Dodge Caliber that was moving west on County Route 60 when they allege he struck the victim and fled the scene.

They also identified possible other victims who said they were assaulted more than 10 years ago when they were 5 and 6.
The sheriff s office charged Campbell in November 2019 with one count of felony first-degree rape, three counts of felony first-degree criminal sexual act and five counts of felony first-degree sexual abuse.
In February 2020, the sheriff s office filed additional charges against Campbell, including predatory sexual assault against a child, course of sexual conduct against a child and second-degree rape, all felonies, along with a misdemeanor charge of endangering the welfare of a child.
The additional charges were lodged after a new victim came forward and claimed Campbell had sexually abused her on several occasions over the course of about 11 years while she was a child.
