Unknown gunmen have killed two persons and wounded two others in Kizachi village, Kauru LGA area of Kaduna State.
Confirming the killings on Tuesday, Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr. Samuel Aruwan said troops under the auspices of Operation Safe Haven reported an attack on Kizachi village in Kauru local government areas.
“The troops responded to a distress call and arrived at the location to find two persons – Musa Garba and Yakubu Yawo – shot dead. Two others – Monday Joseph and Jacob Thomas – sustained gunshot injuries.” The Army said.
“According to reports, the victims were ambushed by unknown gunmen between Bakin Kogi and Narido village, as they made their way from Bakin Kogi Market.

Two locals were ambushed by unknown gunmen and killed between Bakin Kogi and Narido village in Kauru Local Government area of Kaduna state.

Gunmen Kill Three In Fresh Southern Kaduna Attack
Investigations indicate that the gunmen were criminals from a neighbouring state who crossed over into the village to carry out the heinous act.

Three persons have been reportedly killed in Kamaru village, Chawai Chiefdom in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
A community source said four attackers arrived at the victims house and an argument ensued. Shortly after, the assailants opened fire on the victims.
A statement by Kaduna State Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, said troops of Operation Safe Haven responded to a distress call from the village. Upon arrival, they found three persons – Sunday Joshua, Samson Andy and Mrs Tani Jacob – shot dead, and one other, John Joshua, injured.

After months of respite, apprehension gripped the people of Riyom local government area of Plateau State as two young men were ambushed and shot dead on Sunday by gunmen rampaging the area.
Nigerian Tribune learnt that the unfortunate incident occurred on Sunday at about 8:00 pm along Hoss-Rim road in the local government while the two persons identified as Joseph Davou and Jerry Bitrus were returning from a send forth prayer for one the pastors in Rim community.
A source in the community disclosed that the gunmen who had laid siege on the road opened fire at two of them on a motorcycle, killing them instantly while other road users scampered for safety to avoid being killed.
Lalong
The Plateau government says it is working hard with security agencies to check the spate of kidnaping, cultism and other forms of violent crimes in the state.
Gov. Simon Lalong said this on Sunday during a special interdenominational service organised at the Church of Christ in Nation (COCIN) Headquarters in Jos to mark the 2021 Armed Forces Remembrance Day.
“I am aware of the incidences of kidnapping, cultism and other violent crimes in some parts of Plateau.
“Government is working hard with the security agencies and stakeholders to ensure that the ugly incidences are tackled,” he said.
The governor said he signed the Anti-kidnapping, Land grabbing, Cultism and Violence-related Matters bill into law to curb the menace.
