Military and police authorities have informed the Kaduna State Government that four persons have been killed in further reprisal attacks in Zangon-Kataf LGA on Saturday night.
Samuel Aruwan , Commissioner, Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Kaduna State,stated on Sunday that “troops under the auspices of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) had earlier reported the killing of seven persons at Gora Gan in Zangon Kataf local government and the counter-killing of seven herders at Ungwan Idi and Kasheku of Kauru local government.

Seven people have been killed following reprisal attacks on some settlements in Kauru and Lere Local Government Areas of Kaduna State.
This was revealed in a statement the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr. Samuel Aruwan issued yesterday.
The commissioner said the attack followed the killing of seven people in Gora Gan, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of the state on Thursday.
Aruwan said the military under the auspices of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) and the police “have informed the Kaduna State Government of counter attacks on some herder settlements in Kauru and Lere local government areas.

Samuel Aruwan ,Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs in Kaduna State, has said that seven persons were killed in counter-killings in the state at the weekend.
Consequently, Governor El-Rufai, according to him, was worried over renewed killings and counter-killings in Southern Kaduna.
“The military under the auspices of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) and the police have informed the Kaduna State Government of counter-attacks on some herder settlements in Kauru and Lere local government areas,”Aruwan said.
“According to the operational feedback from the security agencies, the attacks were carried out by aggrieved youths following the killing of seven persons on Thursday night in Gora Gan, Zangon Kataf local government.

Less than 24 hours when gunmen killed 7 people at Gora Gan village of Zango Kataf local government, security agencies reported reprisal killings of 6 children and a woman in Kauru local government area of Kaduna State.
This was even as governor, El-Rufai has expressed his worries over renewed killings and counter killings in the area after months of relative peace.
