A Binghamton area auto dealer announced Wednesday that the company purchased five Fuccillo dealerships in western and central New York. Fuccillo Hyundai and Kia, both located on West Ridge Road in Greece, were purchased by the Matthews Auto Group of Vestal, Broome County, the dealership announced Wednesday. The other three newly purchased Fuccillo dealerships are in the Syracuse area, according to the news release. The five dealership purchase, which was effective as of Tuesday, includes more than 1,000 new cars in inventory, the buildings and property. Roughly 300 Fuccillo employees will join Matthews.

Dunkin expanding to vacant Scooter s Coffee shop in Cape Coral

Dunkin’ continues to expand its reach in Cape Coral and throughout Southwest Florida. The coffee, donut and fast food chain, which officially dropped “Donuts” as the second word of its brand name, will be taking over a standalone location at 1014 Del Prado Blvd. in Cape Coral adjacent to SE 10th Terrace, south of Cape Coral Hospital. That spot, with a drive-thru window, did not work for Scooter’s Coffee. “I believe in the power of the brand,” said Michael Koroghlian, who will own the franchise. His company purchased the building for $575,000 in November, property records show. He owns almost half of Dunkin s locations in Lee and Collier counties. There are 30 in Lee and 15 in Collier.

The museum, which opened in November, hopes to educate the community as well as honor first responders and military service personnel through our exhibits that capture the dramatic events that shaped our nation. A few months ago, Dr. Carol Rae Culliton didn’t think she’d give tours on military history. She didn’t know she’d buy a 6,500-square foot building and use it to display artifacts that honor veterans.

COVID Lee County: Florida reports 348 new cases, 3 additional deaths

The Florida Department of Health on Saturday reported 348 new cases of COVID-19 in Lee County and three additional deaths.      Lee s total number of deaths attributed to COVID-19 stands at 613. The new cases increased the county s cumulative number to 34,177.    On Friday, the state reported a total of 33,829 cases and 610 deaths in Lee County.
