A 16-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of James Gibbons who was stabbed to death in Laindon, Essex Police said.
The amazing father-of-four was killed when he interrupted his twin daughters birthday barbecue to give a homeless man leftovers, witnesses said.
Mr Gibbons, 34, a plumber known locally as Gibbo, was stabbed on an estate that locals call Alcatraz in Laindon, Essex, at around 9.30pm on Sunday.

Mr Gibbons, who was engaged to his partner of 11 years, was found with stab wounds and died at the scene despite efforts by paramedics.
The man was stopped and searched by officers on patrol in Loughton on Saturday, October 31, 2020. During the search, officers found the man had a hunting-style knife and cannabis in his possession. He was arrested on suspicion of possession of a knife blade or pointed article in a public place and possession of a Class B drug, and later charged with the offences. He appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates Court on Thursday, April 29 and pleaded guilty to both offences, and was sentenced to 21 weeks in a young offenders institution and order to pay £128 in costs. Essex Police’s assistant Chief Constable Paul Wells said: “We are absolutely committed to doing everything we can to drive down violent crime.
