The body was found in Cheltenham Township at around 9:46 a.m., near the 150 block of Tookany Creek Parkway. The victim, identified later as a 50-year-old man, Christian Williams, was inside a vehicle in the lot at William Gottschalk Field. Man found dead in Cheltenham; Montgomery County authorities launch homicide investigation

CHELTENHAM — Montgomery County authorities launched a homicide investigation on Thursday after a man was found dead, restrained and suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, inside a parked vehicle in Cheltenham. The victim, identified as Christian Williams, 50, of the 400 block of East Cheltenham Avenue in Philadelphia, was found in a vehicle along Tookany Creek Parkway in Cheltenham, according to county District Attorney Kevin R. Steele and Cheltenham Township Police Chief John Frye. According to authorities, at 9:46 a.m. Thursday, a person walking a dog called 911 to report a deceased male inside of a vehicle parked in the parking lot of William Gottschalk Field, a recreation area located at 150 Tookany Creek Parkway. Cheltenham police arrived to find a deceased male, later identified as Williams, inside the vehicle he owned.

Accused drug dealer facing trial after arrest in Cheltenham with pound of methamphetamine

NORRISTOWN — A Philadelphia man who was apprehended in Cheltenham Township in January after a search of his car revealed a pound of crystal methamphetamine packaged for sale was ordered to stand trial in Montgomery County Court on drug and weapons charges. Larry Lamar “Gunna” Hudson, 27, of the 200 block of Sparks Street, waived his preliminary hearing before District Court Judge Christopher J. Cerski on charges of possession with intent to deliver controlled substances, possession of a controlled substance, possession of prohibited firearms and possession of drug paraphernalia in connection with alleged incidents that occurred between November 2020 and Jan. 12, 2021. Hudson, who remains in the county jail in lieu of $500,000 cash bail, faces a formal arraignment hearing on the charges in county court on May 12 before Judge William R. Carpenter.
