Stroud man guilty of assault must pay for victim s shirt | Stroud News and Journal

A 23-year-old Stroud man who was found guilty of assaulting a man by beating him has been discharged and ordered to pay for the victim’s shirt. Connor Jackson, of Marling Crescent, Farmhill, Stroud, pleaded guilty at Cheltenham Magistrates Court on April 20 to assaulting the man on August 8, 2020 in Stroud. He also pleaded guilty to damaging a £10 shirt belonging to the victim without lawful excuse. The judge discharged Jackson conditionally for 12 months and ordered him to pay £50 in compensation for the assault and £10 in compensation for the shirt. Jackson was also ordered to pay costs of £85 and a surcharge to fund victim services of £22, bring the total to £167, by May 11.

Cocaine and ketamine driver caught on A417 Cirencester | Wilts and Gloucestershire Standard

A 21-YEAR-OLD woman caught driving in Cirencester whilst under the influence of cocaine and ketamine has been banned from driving for 18 months. Alexandra Longden, of Northington Down, Alresford, pleaded guilty to both offences when she appeared before Cheltenham Magistrates Court on April 19, 2021. Magistrates heard how Longden drove on the A417 in Cirencester whilst under the influence of ketamine and cocaine on August 3, 2020. She was ordered to have treatment for drug dependency by or under the direction of Change, Grow, Live for six months. Longden was also fined £180, ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £95 and pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

Drink driving: Barnaby Pearce, 31, of Ampney Crucis | Wilts and Gloucestershire Standard

A 31-YEAR-OLD Cotswold man who was caught behind the wheel whilst more than three times over the alcohol limit has been banned from driving for 14 months. Barnaby Pearce, 31, of Penny Patch, Ampney Crucis, pleaded guilty to driving whilst under the influence of alcohol when he appeared before Cheltenham Magistrates Court on April 12. Magistrates heard how Pearce was behind the wheel of his Nissan Navara on the A429 Fosse Way, Farmington, whilst he was under the influence of alcohol on July 16, 2020. Pearce was found to have 106 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the legal limit being 35 micrograms. He was fined £1,500, ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £150 and pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
