The El Paso Zoo is offering cat lovers the chance to take home a new friend.
The Cats at the Zoo (CATZ) Pet Encounter and Adoption Center is a first-of-its-kind pet adoption experience in the nation located inside a zoo, El Paso Animal Services said in a news release.
The program lets visitors meet domesticated cats who are ready to be adopted.
The center, which is next to the Grasslands Café, will be open Friday through Sunday during the zoo’s regular operating hours.
A grand opening celebration will be held later this year, in coordination with an extended operating schedule.
