CENTRAL VALLEY, Sevier County An elderly couple were critically injured when police say their grandson attacked them both with a knife before being shot by his grandfather.
The attacks occurred late Thursday when a woman in obvious panic called 911 to report that her husband was being stabbed by their grandson, who then began attacking his grandmother, Sevier County Sheriff Nathan Curtis said in a statement. As she was being attacked, the first stabbing victim was able to get a handgun and shoot the attacking grandson multiple times. This gave the stabbing victims time to leave the residence, get in their vehicle, and drive to the neighbor s house, Curtis said.
