in #CASE you missed it Long Lost 1960 Corvette Could Fetch $1 3M | 106 7 The Eagle

Apr 9, 2021 #CASE you missed it. “Long Lost” 1960 Corvette Could Fetch $1.3M Back in 1960, three Chevrolet Corvettes were charged with running the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Even though Ferrari won that race, those cars are still among the most “historically significant” Corvettes ever produced. After disappearing from the radar in 1974, Car #1 of the three (which retired from the race after an accident in the 32ndlap) was eventually found in 2011 at an estate sale. Of the three cars, this is the only one that wasn’t fully restored, and is going up for auction as it was found in 2011 by Sotheby’s. If you’re interested in a historically relevant Corvette with “several layers of peeling paint,” a “non-functioning engine from a 1970 Corvette,” and “a replacement roof,” then this is the car for you…and you can expect to pay between $900K and $1.3 million according to auction estimates.
