CHESTER S Storyhouse is to receive more than £300,000 of Government funding to help it recover from the impact of the Covid pandemic. The Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport have today (April 2) announced that they have invested £1,539,362 in arts and cultural organisations across Cheshire and Warrington through the second round of their Culture Recovery Fund distributed by Arts Council England. Of that fund, Storyhouse is to receive £326,129, while the Chester-based Fallen Angels Dance Theatre will receive an additional £47,086. Sir Nicholas Serota, chair of Arts Council England, said: “Investing in a thriving cultural sector at the heart of communities is a vital part of helping the whole country to recover from the pandemic.
