A weeklong manhunt for a suspect wanted in the killings of four people ended without another shot fired on Monday as hundreds of officers surrounded him in South Carolina, authorities said.

Henderson County Lowest Impacted County For COVID

(Raleigh, NC) Hot and dry conditions are causing concern for the North Carolina Forest Service. The Agriculture Commissioner is encouraging North Carolinians to hold off outdoor burning through early June. There have already been 25-hundred wildfires in the state this year, which already outpaces all of 2020. It s expected to be in the upper 80s in the mountain region through the week.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Police arrested a man wanted in four killings this month across two states on Monday after a seven-day search in South Carolina.
Tyler Terry was arrested around 10:30 a.m.; he and the more than 300 officers searching for him were not hurt, the Chester County Sheriff s Office posted on Twitter.
They did not release any additional details.
Officers, dogs, helicopters and drones have searched in woods, neighborhoods and industrial areas for Terry since he ran from the wrecked car he was a passenger in last Monday night in Chester County.
The Chester County Sheriff s Office advised residents to stay inside, lock their doors, secure firearms and report suspicious activity in their outbuildings, crawlspaces and trash bins. Authorities also appealed to people to check on loved ones living in the area and to let them know about any vacant vacation homes for them to check out.

The man at the center of a weeklong manhunt in Chester County was found and taken into custody on Monday morning, officials said.
Channel 9 South Carolina reporter Greg Suskin tweeted around 10:30 a.m. that he heard deputies cheering and clapping and that Tyler Terry had been found and taken into custody.

A short time later, the Chester County Sheriff’s Office tweeted that Terry had been captured and that everyone involved, including Terry, was safe.
