The Cyber Terrorism Investigation Team of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime revealed the information today. He demanded Rs 2,50,000 from an Indian minor through a WhatsApp ID by threatening to leak her personal pictures and videos on social media, Sayed Nasirullah, senior assistant commissioner of the Cyber Terrorism Investigation Team, who led the operation, told The Daily Star. The victim informed the cyber police about the matter through Facebook messenger and provided information on the accused. The team then conducted cyber patrols through various social media monitors, identified the location of the accused, and arrested him. Sayed Nasirullah said that the accused used to contact children and collect, store and supply pornographic images and videos of them online encouraging them to provide their own images and videos.
