BRANCHBURG, NJ Three men were charged in connection with a road rage incident where an assault rifle was pointed at another driver.
Robert Figueroa, 19 of Whitehall, Pennsylvania, Axel Rafael Colon Merly, 18 of Allentown, Pennsylvania, and Miguel Angel Otero Journet, 19 of Bear, Delaware were all charged, announced Somerset County Prosecutor Michael Robertson, Chief of County Detectives John Fodor and Readington Township Chief of Police Joseph Greco.
On Sunday, Feb. 28 at around 4 p.m. police were notified about a car driving north into Branchburg that was involved in a road rage incident on Route 202 in Readington Township where a weapon was allegedly pointed at another driver, said Robertson.

RARITAN BOROUGH – A 56-year-old Bridgewater man is facing additional charges in connection with allegedly driving drunk and fatally hitting an Arizona woman out for a run while she was stopped in a marked crosswalk.
Betyeman was driving a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado and traveling eastbound on Old York Road around 3:30 p.m. Sept. 18 when his vehicle struck and killed 60-year-old Celeste Andresen, of San Manuel, Arizona, authorities said. At the time of the collision, Andresen was attempting to cross Old York Road near Woodmere Street was in a well-marked crosswalk, according to the criminal complaint.
Betyeman’s blood-alcohol concentration was above the legal limit of 0.08% BAC several hours after the collision, and he denied having consumed any alcohol or intoxicating substances when asked by police at the scene, authorities said.

Prosecutor says CA man came to NJ to have sex with 14-year-old
FRANKLIN (Somerset) A 22-year-old California man has been arrested after prosecutors say he traveled across the country to have sex with a 14-year-old girl.
Justin R. Ganutan, of Stockton, California, was having an online relationship with the girl, according to Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson, when he arrived in December and had sex with the underage teen twice.
The girl was interviewed by a detective from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Unit, and Ganutan was charged with second-degree sexual assault and third-degree endangering the welfare of a minor.
