Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk mooted Ms Frecklingtonâs potential run for the Central Queensland seat of Flynn after a discussion about Rockhamptonâs Beef Australia event in the Queensland parliament on May 11.
Incumbent member Ken OâDowd is set to retire after this term in office.
âI thought the member for Nanango might be spending some time in Gladstone,â Ms Palaszczuk said.
â A little birdie tells me she wanted the preselection for Flynn. I would support that.

A Queenslander home on Brisbaneâs southside had âshin-heightâ flash flooding on Wednesday evening after a short but intense storm swept across the stateâs south-east.
Within 20 minutes of the first drops falling, a Yeerongpilly home had water lapping at the wheels of the cars parked in the driveway, with one of the residents describing it as âa river under my houseâ.
