FAIRFIELD The Solano County Public Health Division will soon have to set yet another vaccination goal as the county nears the 240,000-resident mark.

Solano expanding efforts to vaccinate hard-to-reach residents
FAIRFIELD The Solano County Public Health Division is expanding its efforts to vaccinate hard-to-reach residents, including those who are homebound and the homeless.
“There are expanded drop-in clinics with evening and weekend hours, pop-up vaccination sites at workplaces and community centers, vaccinations for the homeless, and in-home vaccinations for the homebound,” the county said in a statement released Friday afternoon.
Covid-19 vaccination outreach strategies in Solano County include:
• Partnering with the school districts and community-based organizations to provide vaccine clinics to schools and community settings across the county.
• Collaborating with health care partners to continue to host pop-up vaccination clinics.

Hospitalizations drop in latest Solano Covid-19 report
FAIRFIELD The number of Solano County residents reported to be hospitalized with Covid-19 was at its lowest Monday since March 28.
The Solano County Public Health Division reported 13 residents were hospitalized with just two in intensive care units.
The county also reported a decline in daily cases, dropping to a three-day average of 37.33 since Friday when the number was at 54. There were 56 cases reported a day earlier.
The total for the pandemic is at 322,864, the county reported.
