Oasis to host lunch and learn on senior living options

Oasis Senior Center
The Oasis Senior Center, 2810 Woodlawn Rd.,will host a program on senior living options from 10 a.m. until noon Friday, July 23 in Lincoln. Speakers will discuss various levels of senior care, from independent living to hospice, and every step in between. Following the speaker presentations, a light lunch of cheesy broccoli soup will be served and attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and get more detailed information. Pre-registration is required. Call the Oasis at 217-732-6132 to reserve a seat. The event is free for Oasis members. There is a $5 registration fee for non-members.

The Lincoln Park District Special Olympics team is planning to have some fun at the “Cruisin For a Cause” fundraising event scheduled from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 10 at the Oasis Senior Center, 2810 Woodlawn Rd.,in Lincoln.
Lots of of antique, sport and tricked out models of cars, jeeps,4X4 vehicles and motorcycles will be at the event. There will also be a display of the D.A.R.E Humvee, Wreckers and High Profile vehicles as well.
All vehicles and motorcycles for display are required to pay $10 to enter the lot and set up between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Judging will be at 3 p.m. For those who are interested in displaying a vehicle or motorcycle contact Rick Hennessey by calling 217-314-1097.
