City Civil Court has listed her case for hearing on March 15
Former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa’s close aide V.K. Sasikala and her nephew T.T.V. Dhinakaran have approached the Registry of the city civil court seeking early listing of a civil suit filed by them challenging AIADMK-related decisions taken by Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami and others.
The suit, which was filed in the Madras High Court in 2017, sought to declare that Mr. Palaniswami, Deputy Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam, Forest Minister Dindigul C. Sreenivasan, former Minister S. Semmalai and AIADMK presidium chairman E. Madusudhanan are not members of the party. Further, they submitted that all actions done by them in their capacity as its office-bearers are illegal and against the bylaws of the AIADMK.

Koppala, Jan 27: Karnataka Agriculture Minister BC Patil on Tuesday said that terrorists, Khalistanis and Congress are behind the act committed at the Red Fort in Delhi on the occasion of Republic Day. It did not seem like a protest by farmers. It was an act by terrorists. Farmers have never violated laws even earlier in history. Terrorists, Khalistanis and Congress workers are behind this act. People who hate Prime Minister Narendra Modi attempted to destabilise the government but failed and are frustrated. They have been involved in this act, Patil said.

Fortyone security personnel sustained injuries when they jumped from a height of 20 feet into a drain to save their lives when violence broke out in the Red Fort premises on Tuesday, said the Delhi police. A senior police officer said adequate number of security personnel were deployed to prevent the protesters from entering the Red Fort but they were outnumbered by the protesters.

Her counsel makes submission before High Court
Former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa’s close confidante V.K. Sasikala is likely to be released from the Parappana Agrahara central prison in Bengaluru on or before January 27, according to her counsel N. Raja Senthoor Pandian.
The submission was made before Justices M. Duraiswamy and T.V. Thamilselvi of the Madras High Court during the hearing of a case filed by the Income Tax Department in 2008 with respect to her income for the year 1994-95.
