The request from alleged murderer LaSondra Johnson and her attorneys to move the trial out of Black Hawk County has been denied, according to KWWL. Defense attorneys had argued that the 36 year old Johnson would not be able to receive a fair trial due to the amount of media coverage, however the judge ruled that they did not do enough to prove that was indeed the case. Johnson has been charged with the first degree murder of Jada Young-Mills in November.

An attorney for an alleged murderer is asking to move the trial out of Black Hawk County, according to KWWL. The attorneys for 36 year old Lasondra Johnson say that she cannot receive a fair trial in Black Hawk County. The state is arguing, however, that there has not been enough widespread publicity to warrant such a move. Johnson is accused of murdering Jada Young-Mills back in November. She has pleaded not guilty and indications are that her attorneys will argue she acted in self defense.
