Details are available from here. Blood donation eligibility guidance for those who receive a COVID-19 vaccination is in effect as of May 14:
– Those who receive RNA vaccine (including mRNA vaccine/ Pfizer-manufactured vaccine) must wait 48 hours before giving blood. Applicable for first and second injections.
– Those who experience fever (37.5C or higher,) fatigue or muscle ache after taking any COVID-19 vaccine should wait until those symptoms are completely gone.
– Those who suffer anaphylaxis after getting COVID-19 vaccine cannot give blood until one year after the full recovery from the symptoms.

Many local governments across Japan have started accepting coronavirus vaccination reservations from older residents in full scale, but some have been thrown into confusion by a flood of applications.
Municipalities accepting reservations on a first-come, first-served basis have seen their vaccination booking hotlines overwhelmed and booking websites taken down as applications poured in.
As with any vaccine, safety is also being monitored as the shots are rolled out to members of the public to ensure there are no side effects of concern. A very small number of severe allergic reactions, for example which are expected with any vaccine haveoccurred with some of the authorized COVID-19 vaccines. The CDC said the reaction – anaphylaxis – occurred in 2 to 5 people per million vaccinated. This reaction “almost always occurs” within a half hour of receiving a shot, and vaccination providers have medicine to immediately treat it, the CDC said.
