Diakite, a 6-foot-3 edge defender, is considered a 3-star prospect, according to 247Sports. He also holds scholarship offers from South Alabama, East Carolina, Arkansas State and Austin Peay.
The two-way Pinson Valley star says the family connection he felt with the Commodores ultimately gave them the edge.
“It’s the connection I have with everybody,” Diakite told 247Sports. “I feel like myself around them. We talk every day, all day. We talk about everything. It’s like family. I really love them.”
If Diakite sticks with his pledge, he will be the second PVHS linebacker to land in Nashville in recent years. Former Indian star Zac Cunningham still holds multiple defensive records at Vanderbilt.
Creek County Church Facing Major Damages After Flooding By Burst Pipe
Because of the winter weather, pipes are bursting left and right, leaving homes and businesses flooded, including a Mannford church that suffered flooding after a pipe burst.
Restoration crews said hundreds of people are on a waiting list now with destroyed floors and property due to pipes bursting.
Burggraf Restoration crews have been cleaning up First Baptist in Mannford since Thursday night, and water is still everywhere. That one-inch line that broke it s a tremendous amount of water, said Burggraf Restoration Project Manager Steve Byard.
It ruined the carpet, the offices, and flooded the sanctuary, where everything, including the pews, may need to be replaced.
